Darius Lloyd is an 8-year-old Special Education student mainstream in Grade two (inclusion). He was born on January 22, 2009 in Baguio City. After 7 days, Darius was diagnosed with Congenital heart disease, Tetralogy of Fallot. He had his life-saving open heart surgery in December 2014 sponsored by The Gift of Life Foundation, Rotary District 7490. At the age of three he was diagnosed as being Global Developmental Delayed. Despite of his condition, he is active, smart and he wants to go to class everyday. He wants to be a policeman someday.
His father works as a Utility Worker under Contract of Service with daily salary of Php 364.00 while his mother has irregular income from cooking and selling puto (steamed cake), ornamental plants, sewing, and others. Their combined income is not enough to support Darius’ schooling.
