Why Raise Funds for a Child?
Gawad Pag-asa International, Incorporated (GPII) launched the scholarship program because we want to give hope to a child and help him/her to transform his/her mind by providing access to free education. We would also like to meet his/her other needs: food (morning snacks, lunch, afternoon snacks), transport (going to school and back home), school attire (uniform, shoes, other clothes), school supplies with bag, health-care like doctor’s check-up and consultation if sick. In this way, the child can just focus on studying and not on worrying about them.
We would also ensure that the child will have the environment that will support his/her success by involving the parents/guardians who will support his/her study at home. GPII believes that the parents’ or guardians’ support for the scholar will give him/her the encouragement to finish school and later on contribute to the family’s welfare.
